• Brief Description of Invention:
  After-market accessory for porch swing allows users to rest their feet in an elevated position
• Describe the Problem the Invention Solves:
  When sitting in a wooden porch swing, people may experience discomfort due to the lack of support for the feet and lower legs.  When relaxing, many people prefer to rest with their feet in an elevated position and this is currently not an option when sitting in a porch or patio swing.
• How the Invention Solves the Problem
  My invention, referred to as the Flip Footrest, can be added to any standard sized wooden porch or patio swing.  The Flip Footrest can be easily extended to provide users with the opportunity to fully relax and rest their feet in an elevated position.  When not in use, it tucks discreetly away beneath the seat of the swing.
• Is the Invention an Improvement over what Currently Exists?
  Yes. Currently no accessory exists that affords users of a patio swing the luxury of resting with his or her feet up.  This is a valuable product that offers owners of patio swings a unique relaxation experience.
